Join us for our October FEDDs’ monthly meeting (read: happy hour!), which will be fun and informative, as always! And, as always, ALL are welcome!
!! Our October meeting has moved from 10/3 to 10/11 !!
We will focus on the upcoming propositions to be voted on during the November 7 election. And we'll do the raffle draw for the JJ dinner tickets.
Click here for a list of the propositions.
Click here for MAGA (the good one; not the crazies) recommendations for voting on each proposition.
Have you bought FEDDs raffle tickets yet?! The FEDDs are auctioning off 2 prizes: a pair of tickets and a single ticket. Prices for a raffle ticket are $25/each or 5 tickets for $100. Click here to buy your FEDDs fundraiser raffle tickets, which earn you a chance to win DCDP Jordan Johnson “JJ” Dinner tickets to see Senator Cory Booker and party with all Dallas Dems!! Thank you to our sponsors and the FEDDs sponsoring the JJ - Dallas Dems’ biggest annual fundraiser!
Wednesday, October 11th at 6:30 - 8 pm / The Shindig Food Park, 3732 Samuell Blvd
At Shindig we’ll have:
$4 beer specials
A list of food trucks that will be on site that evening will be added here once the list is published
The Shindig is women owned, LGBTQ owned, Latin owned, and FEDDs owned, so we’re excited to support their cool food truck park
The area may be less gentrified than much of East Dallas, but it’s safe; the property is secure and we’ll likely have the place mostly to ourselves
Note: FEDDs usually meet the first Tuesday of the month. BUT, the first Tuesday in October has officially become “National Night Out” (NNO), which is a great effort to get communities more bonded and familiar with local police. We encourage all Dems get to know more neighbors (find more Dems, offer voter reg etc) by attending their NNO, we will be shifting October FEDDs happy hours to the following week - so, we’ll see you Weds, October 11th!
* Please RSVP here to attend and share this event link to invite friends. *
We're seeking volunteers to help with the event, so please come early if you can help.
If you haven’t listened to the new episode of Pod Bless Texas yet, check it out! The FEDDs got a nice shout-out from State Representative John Bryant, commending the work we do holding elected officials accountable. We agree that holding every elected official accountable to their constituency is second only to turning out the vote to get candidates with our values elected! It was nice timing of Rep Bryant to highlight our accountability work - we have an announcement coming soon about the 2024 cycle accountability team. If you are, or want to be, a subject matter expert on any of the issues/policies Dems care about, please come to our Props Shindig and sign up to join the effort! Or, email us here.
Please message us to volunteer with the FEDDs or sign up for our mailing list. We're having fun registering voters, precinct organizing, block walking, collaborating with other area groups, and supporting the efforts of DCDP and all our candidates!
Hope to see FEDDs, friends, elected officials, and candidates - ALL are welcome!
